YOUR VALUES -

Good morning, everyone.  When we have children, we not only pass on our DNA but we pass down our values as well.  Children's thoughts are based on their parent's thoughts as they have no other frame of reference.  It is only when they are out and about in the world do these young beings form their own thoughts on life and the world.  Once that happens, these young adults may see the world in a totally different light.

Today's quote is, "Values are passed down - it's time to create your own."  For some the very word values, conjures up images of home baked muffins, family dinners and The Brady Bunch but for others those are not the values remembered.

If you were brought up in a racist, homophobic, xenophobic, everything phobic household you would be the exact same way.  If hate was the decor in your home, you would no doubt use the same decorator.  Hate is learned and can be unlearned but that comes from experiencing the world outside.

Values may be passed on,

but they don't need to be kept.  You are free to create your own!

Have a beautiful day everyone! ~Love, Amy

CAN YOU FORGIVE

Good morning, everyone.  It is said that forgiveness sets you free.  Just because it is said doesn't mean we are all in agreement.  It is the polar opposite of holding a grudge yet some still find that to be preferable.  Those that find it utterly impossible to move on from a past hurt may or may not hold a grudge, leaving forgiveness off the table.

Today's quote is, "Anything can be forgiven if you are willing."   The key is the last word of the sentence.  The key to being able to forgive anything is a willingness to do so.  Aside from that, one must have an understanding of why things happened and who was involved.  I will be candid with you.  I'm not sure that anything can be forgiven whether you are willing or not.

I am not sure that forgiveness can be applied to every situation, event or occurrence.  I'm not sure that whatever or whoever causes one such tremendous pain can ever be forgiven.  One must ask oneself, what is a forgivable offense.  Will forgiveness enable one to move forward.

This quote is black and white.  The answer is either you can forgive anything,

or you can't but that is entirely up to you.

Have a beautiful day everyone! ~Love, Amy
