DECISIONS DECISIONS

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  Its Thursday for sure but is it happy?  You get to decide.  One of the first decisions you get to make is if your day will be a good one or not.  Decisions, decisions.  We have so many to make its hard to always make the right one.  Sometimes we ponder too much and then regret it five minutes later.

No decision is the wrong one if that is where your instincts lead you. Today's quote is, "The decision you made was the right one even if it was the wrong one it is what was necessary at that time."  How many times have you said, "if only I knew then what I know now!" hence the next phrase, "hindsight is 20/20."  Unless you are able to foresee the future you have no way of knowing how a decision of your choosing will affect you later on in life.

We are lucky to have free will.  It allows us to make all kinds of choices.  It allows us to be spontaneous.  It also provides learning experiences for us.  I won't say never look back because we do that all the time.  What I can say is never look back with regret.  Whatever choice you made at a particular time in your life was absolutely what was supposed to happen.

We are shaped by events, circumstances and choices and while looking back they may have not been the best, they were the exact right ones, circumstances and choices for that very time in your life!

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! ~Love, Amy

THE LONG WINDING ROAD

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  We begin life full of wonder unaware of what is in front of us. Its exciting not to know where you are going.  As we get older we sometimes lose that sense of wonder, wanting to know exactly where every step will lead us.  Well that's no fun!  Bring back that childish wonder.  Ignite that curiosity,  Make mistakes.  Lots of them.

Travel a different path.  Today's quote is, "Many a divergent road will be taken - follow along unquestioning as your soul is taking you exactly where you are meant to go."

To quote Dr. Seuss, "On the places you'll go!" Not to mention the places you shouldn't have gone to BUT how would you know that unless you went in the first place!!  Life at its best and worst is about experience.  Losing a game, going to a funeral, eating brussels sprouts but also getting the top score, dancing at a wedding and savoring chewy chocolate chip cookies.  You have to eat brussels sprouts to know you don't like them.

What do you want to do when you grow up?  What do you want to be?  Most of us haven't a clue but somehow we all end up exactly where we are supposed to doing exactly what we are meant to.  Trust the Universe and the divine plan set out just for you and your soul will surely follow along.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone! Love~Amy

YOU'VE ARRIVED

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  "Are we there yet?" A familiar phrase uttered by every child on a long car ride.  We haven't changed all that much.  We still question when we will get there; there being the desired destination in our lives but we keep forgetting that arrival takes time.  Remember, there is a lot to learn.

Today's quote is, "Arrival comes at the right time and not a moment before."  I know all you Veruca Salts out there want it now but be be patient.  You're not ready.  You only think you are. Do you remember wanting a really cool sports car when you were 15?  I wanted an MG from the time I was 10 years old but what would I have done with it.

You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince.  Remember that one?  I know of people who have found their true loves in eighth grade but most of us hoped we didn't get warts.  I know of people who found that their dream job was the first one they ever had but many of us had to suffer through a miserable boss first.

I know of people who exude confidence from every pore in their body but I also know those who were emotionally beaten down and found it hard to feel visible when walking into a room.  Your path is a one lane highway with room for only you.  Your path isn't shared.  It is an individual journey that cannot be rushed so don't even try.

Have patience and be confident to know that you will get there at the exact moment when you are meant to and not a moment before.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! ~Love, Amy

SATISFACTION

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  As content as we may be are there is always room for more of the good stuff.  Remember getting that goody bag after a birthday party.  No matter what was on top we kept looking for more until we reached the bottom of the bag.  Why weren't we satisfied?  We weren't satisfied because even way back then we knew there was more.

Today's quote is, "Search with a hunger known only to you for only you know when you are both satisfied and full."  Self satisfaction is an inside job.  No one can tell you when you want more or if you've had enough.  When it feels right, you just know.

There is nothing wrong with being content.  There is nothing wrong with wanting more.  It is up to you to decide and you don't need permission from anyone.  Let that be freeing for you.  Wanting more is not greedy unless you consider it greedy to want  more knowledge, more sunshine, more happiness or more personal growth.

Keep searching for in searching you will also keep growing~

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone! ~Love, Amy

THE BEAUTY WITHIN

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  We have all heard the phrase, "beauty is skin deep."  It means that beauty merely lies on the surface and stays there never reaching the heart or the soul.  Isn't that the kind of beauty we would rather be around.  Beauty that's not just nice to look at but beauty that you can feel.

Have you ever been around someone who was just breathtaking to look at but the words from their mouths were a shocking contrast to the beauty before you. Words can comfort us, upset us, relieve us and contribute to just about any feeling we may have.  When we see a physically beautiful person we expect that their insides match their outsides but that isn't always the case.

Today's quote is, "The physical is not ugly - it is the ugliness of the soul seeping through."   You know that person who always makes you laugh?  The one who always says good morning?   They are the real beautiful people.

Goodness and kindness are seen through actions making one a true beauty.  Physical appearance is secondary if ugliness is all that is inside.  We all have ugly thoughts at times.  We are not perfect.  We are human.   Choose not to share them but instead to share laughter and love and let your beauty shine through.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! ~Love, Amy

RELEASE THE BURDEN OF THE PAST

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  Although it is spring it is still not warm enough to pack our sweaters away.  There is nothing I like more than shedding all those heavy winter clothes and trading them in for lighter more colorful ones.  I can only imagine how those sheep must feel after they've been shorn!

What a relief to no longer be weighed down.  You know what else weighs you down? Emotions. They weigh us down even more than heavy garments.  Why do we insist on keeping them in the back of our minds?  The pain we experienced years ago is all too easily recalled in idle moments.  We can just as easily recall happier times which is much more preferable.

Time to release and let go of that gumbo of pain, sadness, anger and misery.  Today's quote is, "I no longer carry the past with me - a heavy burden that didn't allow for joy - happiness or to know who I really was.."  Say it again.  This is really important.  I no longer carry the past with me - a heavy burden that didn't allow for joy, happiness or to know who I really was.

All kinds of memories are stored in our minds, both good and bad.  We shouldn't erase them no matter how painful. Everything in our life is a culmination of who we are but some of them can be released so we don't have to constantly live and relive past pain.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone~ Love, Amy

WE ARE ALL HUMAN

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  Did you ever go to school with a "mean girl?"  Take a moment to think back to whatever grade it may have been and think of the meanest girl in your class.  How scared were you when her eyes scanned the room waiting for her next victim.  The mean girl was the one who would talk down to everyone from her self imagined pedestal.  She was the one who made it clear, (in her mind anyway) that she was better than you.

Fast forward to middle school, high school and college.  Guess what.  That mean girl had transformed into a mean adult.  We don't have to like everyone but we do have to treat everyone as an equal. Today's quote is, "We are no better than the homeless man with no shoes - our stories and journeys are different but we are equal in our humanity."

Who knows how the homeless man ended up homeless instead of being CEO of a major corporation.  Who knows if the impossibly pampered woman is really happy?  We have no idea how some of us arrived or didn't arrive at our desired destinations nor do we know what creates happiness for some and not for others.

What we all know is that each one of us possesses a heart allowing us to give love and receive love.  Our lungs allow us to breathe fresh air and smell cut grass.  Our minds allow us to think and to dream.  Wearing shoes doesn't make you better than anyone else.  Be kind in your words and your actions.  They all matter.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! ~Love, Amy

KEEP HOPE WITHIN REACH

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  Many words are conceptual.  Hope is one of them.  We all know what it is.  It is one of those intangible things that can't be touched yet we all know what it feels like.  It is what we keep in our back pockets, front pockets, wallets or pocketbooks so that when we want something really badly it is within reach.  Regrettably we are a very impatient bunch ready to exchange that hope with defeat.  There's not much left when you give up hope.

Today's quote is, "In the beginning there was hope that quickly changed to defeat - go back to the beginning and start all over again."  And by all means put some patience in your back pocket as well!  Things don't always happen when you want them to.  Things don't always work out the way you envision.  Sometimes a lot of struggle goes into whatever it is you are doing but it doesn't mean it won't happen or it won't work out.

The word hope is uplifting as are all the synonyms.  Ambition, desire, wish, expectation, desire and dream.  Those are some really powerful and uplifting words.  Why would anyone trade them in for lost, collapse or beat.  Eww right!

Never give up hope.  Keep it close to you at all times.  You may not be able to see it or touch it but hope touches all of us!

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone! ~Love, Amy
