WE ARE ALL HUMAN

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  Did you ever go to school with a "mean girl?"  Take a moment to think back to whatever grade it may have been and think of the meanest girl in your class.  How scared were you when her eyes scanned the room waiting for her next victim.  The mean girl was the one who would talk down to everyone from her self imagined pedestal.  She was the one who made it clear, (in her mind anyway) that she was better than you.

Fast forward to middle school, high school and college.  Guess what.  That mean girl had transformed into a mean adult.  We don't have to like everyone but we do have to treat everyone as an equal. Today's quote is, "We are no better than the homeless man with no shoes - our stories and journeys are different but we are equal in our humanity."

Who knows how the homeless man ended up homeless instead of being CEO of a major corporation.  Who knows if the impossibly pampered woman is really happy?  We have no idea how some of us arrived or didn't arrive at our desired destinations nor do we know what creates happiness for some and not for others.

What we all know is that each one of us possesses a heart allowing us to give love and receive love.  Our lungs allow us to breathe fresh air and smell cut grass.  Our minds allow us to think and to dream.  Wearing shoes doesn't make you better than anyone else.  Be kind in your words and your actions.  They all matter.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! ~Love, Amy
