RIGHTSIDE UP

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  Months ago we were all thrown off by COVID-19.  The loss of control and entering into the unknown took us to a very uncomfortable place.  Things are still uncertain yet we have figured out how to be in what has become "our new normal."  This is a learning curve for all of us.  When things go array we have to look at ways to make the abnormal, normal.

Today's quote is, "When life is upside down - stand on your head and look at it in a brand new way."  Similar to "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade."  What else can you do?  We need to find ways to exist when the status quo has changed and is no longer the status quo, that comfort zone we snuggle up to on a cold winter night.

Is it easy to reinvent yourself?  Hell no!  Can you at least try?  Definitely.  Those awesome ideas you have buried inside your mind and hidden away because "I have no time to try...., I can't possible do....., that will never ever work....."  Its time to reach in and bring them up to the surface.  The truth is there is never a good time for change.  That's right.  I bet you never thought I would say that but its true.  

Abrupt change is disruptive but gradual change is slow and more methodical.  Gradual change gives you time to think and be creative.  When life is upside down look at it as an opportunity and a gift to be opened and be surprised by what you may find.

AN EVEN BETTER PLAN

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  How many times have you made plans only to see them fall apart and then delight in the fact that they blew up?  That friend who cancelled dinner plans, the one you really didn't want to see anyway.  That job you thought you really wanted but in your heart knew it wasn't for you.  There are times we think we know what we want.  Not just think we know but are convinced of our innermost desires and we sure as hell aren't going to let anyone tell us otherwise.

Its happened to me.  I'm sure its happened to you too.  Its fun to make plans but plan on something bigger than you letting things work out exactly as they should.  Today's quote is, "Understand that when you make a plan the Universe may have a completely different idea for you - be open to receive something even better."

I've defied the Universe numerous times and suffered the consequences.  Trust was a recurring theme in my life.  One that I had to learn over time.  LOTS OF TIME!!  Meaning, don't beat yourself up over recurring themes in your life.  You'll learn those lessons eventually.  Here's a really big lesson.  Know that the Universe doesn't pick and choose who to protect, who to look out for and who to help.  The Universe is here for all of us and our job is to trust in the bigger picture.

Although the path you are one may be more circuitous than you would like, it is the path you were meant to be on.  Never lose hope and always have faith.  Success is part of the plan but failure, heartache and disappointment can sometimes be hidden gifts.  Gifts that make us realize how wonderful it is to have gotten to where we are, exactly as we were meant to.

LIFTED BY THE WINGS OF AN ANGEL

Good morning everyone.  Happy Tuesday.  When something feels right you just know it.  You don't need confirmation.  You feel it in your being.  Making the right decision about anything is always uplifting as opposed to second guessing yourself which leaves you in a constant state of insecurity.

Today's quote is, "When something resonates with your soul your spirits are lifted as if by angels."  When you are in a place of peace because you have been lead by your instinct and not by an outside source, indescribable comfort is what follows.

Indecision weighs heavy on your mind and heart.  Insecurity drags you down.  When something feels right you know it without being told.  Listen to the angels that are by your side, above you and all around you.  Your angels will always lift you up and when something resonates with your soul you will literally soar!

NOT JUST CHANGE - TRANSFORMATION

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  When it comes to change we can change lots of things.  The first thing I do when I get home is to change out of my work clothes and put on sweat pants.  When light bulbs go out we change them.  The oil in our car doesn't last forever so that too gets a change.  Restaurant menus change with the seasons.

We change our minds all the time.  Not the blue sweater, the green one.  These are day to day changes.  The ones that don't leave much of an impact.  If an impact is what you are looking for then change is not the answer.  Transformation is.

Today's quote is, "Anyone can change - not everyone will transform."  We all talk about changing.  We talk about the things we want to change in our lives but change starts with us.  You know the definition of crazy right?  Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Making small changes is a start but what are you going to do that will transform your life?   Not an easy answer.  It takes thought and time so be generous with both so that the transformation you make in your life is the one that not only changes you but transforms you.

MINDSET VS. MIND SHIFT

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  I have written so blogs I've lost count.  If you are a frequent reader you probably think you know me very well based on my themes of kindness, acceptance, love and overall positivity but there is one thing you might not know about me.

I can be very indecisive.  Try going to a restaurant with me.  A menu can overwhelm me as I am tempted by so many choices yet I often order the same thing.  In the end I'm usually happy so no damage done although there are times I wonder if I should have ordered something different.

Life is a giant menu with so much to order but if you approach it in the same way you will never learn or grow.  Today's quote is, "Do not have a mindset - have a mind shift - change old ways of thinking and embrace something new."  Its only hard if you aren't willing.  We all get stuck.  We all get comfortable.  We get stagnant.  BUT.....what if we decided to open our minds to new and creative ways of doing things, of seeing things and understanding that what was shouldn't be the be all and end all?!

Start small but start for if you don't there is so much you will miss out on.  Expand your point of view.  Its OK to be clear in what you want but not so set in your ways that its your way or the highway.
