ITS HOW MUCH?

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  There is a clothing store in my town that I absolutely love!  Every garment is beautiful, chosen by the owner who has impeccable taste.  There is just one problem.  I can't afford one single thing.  Lucky for me there are two annual sales which I attend religiously as only then am I able to make a purchase.  

I understand the difference between between Prada and Primark but what makes a pair of leggings $100 and another pair $15?  Isn't it funny how we allow others to decide which ones we deserve?  

Today's quote is, "Only you can decide your value - never look to anyone to make that decision for you."   Words are so incredibly powerful.  They can make us feel like we can do anything and everything or absolutely nothing at all.  The way around that is to listen to your heart to know what is possible.  

You know yourself better than the one who is judging you.  Let no one decide if you are worthy of rhinestones or diamonds.  Never give your power away for only you know your true value and you my friends are priceless!

YES YOU ARE RIGHT~NOW WHAT

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  My life's journey continues to be interesting to me.  Twenty years ago I would never have predicted many of the things that have happened and its all good!  No complaints here.  I've learned a lot as well.  Life is about much more than moving from place to place to get ahead (whatever that means to you).  Life is a teacher teaching us new ways to see the world and to understand things that were mysterious to us before becoming familiar such as human nature.  

It takes a long time to understand human beings.  We sometimes say one thing but mean something completely different.  We act in ways that might not match our internal temperature.  What I have learned over time is that we all need compassion and understanding when our actions do not mimic our words and "I told you so," is that last thing you want to hear.

Today's quote is, "What you gain by being compassionate and understanding is far more than you gain by being right."  The know it all is one of my least favorite characters in the book of life.  They ruin experiences for others because of course they know the end of your story. They lack compassion and understanding because if you heeded their advice to begin with you would be far better off.

There is much to gain by not just hearing but really listening.  Being right is great if you find the winning lotto ticket but to me having the ability to set your ego aside wins the prize.

YOU ARE SUPER

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  There are days that require us to look our best and there are days when we want to look our best.  What's the difference?  On a job interview you wouldn't wear sweat pants.  If you just purchased a new item of clothing you chose it because it made you feel a certain way.  Strong, confident, beautiful and amazing!  Every small child has a costume that they absolutely love and will wear anywhere and everywhere.  Why?  Because they love it and it makes them feel strong, confident, beautiful and amazing.  

Today's quote is, "Be your own superhero - cape optional."    Wearing a cape is one way to be a superhero but if you can't find yours, drape yourself with confidence, pride and self-love.  Let your inner light shine brightly out into the world letting everyone know that you don't need accolades or approval.  Self -love is the cashmere of all characteristics.  Wear it proudly!

LIGHT IT UP

Good morning everyone!  Happy Thursday.  To be in the presence of joy is palpable.  I remember living on the 11th floor of an apartment building many years ago and Monday through Friday when the elevator doors opened up on the 7th floor, this enormously tall man with an equally enormous smile would get on and say "good morning" with such joie de vive that you just had to smile back.  

You definitely wanted this guy at your next party.  People like that are a joy to be around as their very 

presence creates a ripple of happiness.  Today's quote is, "The light within you will light up a darkened room."   That light is the confidence within you, the confidence you have being yourself rather than trying to please the crowd.  

The vibration of surety is at the very least a thousand watts.  Tired or energetic, good mood or bad, choose the brightness of your inner light to light up the smallest of spaces, even an elevator!

THE EYES OF YOUR HEART

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  One of our first science lessons is about the 5 senses; seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and smelling.  I can still remember those early science experiments that asked us how many senses we used with things like cotton balls and lollipops. While it is true that with our eyes we see, with our ears we hear, with our tongues we taste, with our noses we can smell and with our fingers can touch, our heart can do 2 out of 5!  

Today's quote is, "Our eyes are there to help make sense of what is in our line of vision - our heart is there to make sense of what our eyes cannot see."   We don't only think with our minds but with our hearts as well.  That feeling that something is just not right or absolutely spot on comes from our intuition but also the way it feels in our hearts.

The warmth you feel when you walk into a room is not just the décor but the love that is there.  While your eyes may appreciate a beautifully decorated home, your heart will feel if it is filled with love or not.  Trust the feelings in your heart.  Appreciate what you see with your own two eyes and see if it resonates with the eyes inside your chest.

SING THE SONGS OF YOUR INNER SELF

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.  I love listening to music while driving to work and singing along with the songs I know.  If I'm off key no one will know.  My voice is decent, (at least I think it is) and I can harmonize quite easily with everyone from Marcus Mumford to Lana Del Rey.  

There is something called internal harmony.  When you align with the feelings deep inside you and do what makes you happy, that's harmony.  When you are doing what you feel you are meant to, that's harmony.   Listening to negative voices in our heads is the static.

Today's quote is, "Harmonize with your inner being - the joy in your soul that may have been buried by fear and distrust which are simply an illusion of the mind."   Long ago we may have been told that our dreams are unreachable.  Out of fear of failure and not trusting our own intuition we settled convincing ourselves that our dreams were just that....dreams.

One of the hardest and most difficult things to do is to stick with our own beliefs and not be influenced by voices of the past.  Fear is a hard one to let go of but think of all there is to gain once that fear is gone!  Trust yourself.  Listen to your inner voice, the only one that really and truly matters!

PLEASE NO ONE BUT YOURSELF

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.  Have you been the receiver of unwanted advice?  Of course you have.  We all have.  The only time advice should be given is when it is asked.  There is always the potential to receive really bad and even potentially harmful advice.

You see not everyone has your best interest at heart.  There are those so called friends who delight in watching you fall with no intention of helping you up yet somehow we acquaint longevity of friendship with love and care and feel we need to adhere to their guidance.

Today's quote is, "I gave up pleasing those who offer ill advice and find happiness in my failure."  I'm writing this in the hopes that you listen to this quote and if I may be so bold, take my advice!  Asking for advice is tricky.  You need to ask yourself if you really want it, need it or will listen to it. 

Here's an idea.  Listen to your intuition.  Your intuition is truly your best friend and the most trustworthy source of support.  Your intuition will always point you in the right direction.  If you must ask advice from a friend make sure that person really and truly is indeed, your friend.
