Good morning everyone. Happy Tuesday. On a warm summer night a flickering flame is a guarantee that moths will soon be hovering near by. There are no moth brains inside its tiny head. It is instinct that draws them there.
We have more in common with those tiny little creatures than you realize but rather than being drawn to a flickering flame, our instincts tell us to stay back so we don't get burned while other times we are pulled to the light like a magnet.
Today's quote is, "Instinctively we are drawn to the light the one that turns on our passion." Of course we are! Remember when you were starting out in the work force and you had one horrible job after another? Oh wait, that was me BUT maybe it was you as well. It took time to figure out where you were going to land.
It took me several unsatisfactory jobs to figure out that I preferred autonomy. Never very good at playing the game I rolled my eyes often and used sarcasm a bit too freely. It became quite clear that I needed to do something where I was in charge and was able to be my own boss.
Voila! Teaching! That's what I wanted to do. My first day as a substitute teacher I knew this was my calling. Teaching was a way to combine what I liked best: being creative, being active and being in charge. The second I stepped into a classroom I knew I was home. There is no difference between teaching children geography and teaching adults Reiki. Teaching is teaching and remains to be one of my passions.
We all have a passion. The Universe has filled our inner being with all sorts of things to be passionate about. If you haven't found yours just yet, trust that you will and when you do, you will use your wings to fly.
Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone! ~Love, Amy
