RELEASE THOSE BURDENS AND BE FREE

Good morning all.  It is Monday once again.  Meditation class tonight.  Meditation is not only relaxing and calming but is like a mini vacation.  We watch sunsets, go to the beach, travel on kayaks stargaze and so much more.  The best thing is that we get to leave it all behind, our day, our thoughts and hopefully our worries.  

We do so much and often have a very full plate. It is nice to be able to drop it all and think of nothing.  Meditation not only helps us free our minds from immediate thoughts but also from past hurts which weigh us down like boulders.  Today's quote is, "Break free from the burdens of the past and give yourself the freedom to move on."  

When we hold onto the past we cannot move forward.  It is as simple as that.  Breaking free can be difficult and I understand but there comes a point where you have two choices.  Live with past hurts and painful memories or put them to bed and move on.  How long can you keep blaming the people in your past, the experiences in your past and the unfortunate events of the past before you see that you are on a hamster wheel spinning round and round.  

We have all been victims of someone or something.  The question is how long do you want to remain a victim.  You may have had a crummy childhood.  You may have suffered a betrayal.  There are multiple ways in which we could suffer.  The list is endless.  But after awhile your misery and complaints fall on deaf ears as even those closest to you no longer want to hear about it.  

Things happen that we can't always control but we can control what it does to us.  If you allow your past to cripple you then it will.  The choice is yours so choose wisely my friends!
