Good morning everyone. Another Friday! Yay. Enjoy the day however you spend it. There is a weekend at the end of this tunnel. How was your week? Have you begun to make any changes or are you too busy complaining about it?
You would be amazed at how much time complaining takes. It is like when you were little and your mom would tell you to stop complaining and do something! If your habit is to whine and complain, it is not going to change because you are older. For some of us the term older and wiser does not apply.
There are events in our lives which cannot be helped for a number of reasons but what about the events in our lives or situations leading up to these events that leave us floundering in wonder as if to say, "what just happened?" The classic, "Why did this happen to me?" Classic self-pity!
We as human beings are accountable for so much more than we think. Blaming outside sources, events or everyone else is too easy. What is our part? Today's quote is, "Come back to the present moment - the one of accountability." We are the ones who need to be held accountable for what takes place in our lives every single day.
We get to decide how we are going to feel every time be get out of our beds. We need to be held accountable for our viewpoints, our mood and our approach to our every day existence. Yes you may be stuck in a job you hate but it is up to you to find something else that you enjoy.
There are plenty of hours in a day. Twenty-four to be exact. Even if you find one hour to do something that brings you joy, that hour will be incredibly meaningful. Why choose the sinister and negative? If you don't like the rain, think of the earth quenching her thirst. If you are in a bad mood, count the many ways in which you have been blessed.
Lastly think about how lucky you are to be a person gifted with endless possibilities to improve yourself and your life. Be accountable for that too!
